Marc Kaptein, M.D. Country Medical Director Pfizer Nederland
Marc Kaptein, M.D. studied medicine at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam.
After finalizing his studies Marc worked as a practicing physician in the field of gynecology and obstetrics in Haarlem and the UMC Utrecht. After a couple of years he joined Organon Pharmaceuticals International focusing on the development and commercialization of the hormonal contraceptive portfolio in a global medical capacity.
In 2002 Marc moved to the United States for Organon holding the position of Global Marketing Director for NuvaRing. After this stint in Marketing in the US he returned to the NL with his family in 2008 and joined Eli Lilly in a Manager Medical Affairs position.
In 2014 he became Chief Medical Officer at myTomorrows, a start-up aiming to bring pharmaceutical innovations to patients in need prior to registration. In 2016 he joined Pfizer in his current position of Country Medical Director for the Netherlands.
Marc is president of the NVFG; the Dutch association for pharmaceutical medicine and board member of HollandBIO; the Dutc association for biotech companies.
